Joyce, this is so wonderful, thank you from the bottom of my heart, truly. It was so fun collaborating with you and learning we share a lot of the same interests. Thank you for the inspiration and the invite to combine forces ❤️
Goodness you two! My heart is exploding and my eyes are wet! Words and art together in this collaboration are exquisite ✨
I immediately saw the old round suction light in my lanai that the Christmas lights are on in honor of my dad. Light of eternal hope. Shaped so much like your art Jenn. I am blown away. Thank you both so much for this. ox
I was reading it and had tears since I just wrote about leaving the Christmas lights on. This old lamp lights the way and it was the one thing I tried to guard with all I had during renovation! The painter had to lay it on the floor and he was an absolute gem. The day he accidentally turned and smashed a globe he felt devastated. It was fine and I spent hours searching for a replacement, only to do it myself with a vacuum hose? a year later! lol. Thank God it was a replacement globe which isn’t made as good. Thinner. We still have one original and it’s so beautiful and thick. They don’t make them like that anymore.
Oh, I was vacuuming like a maniac and I came up with the hose after going under a piece of furniture next to it and smash!! A million pieces that flew in places which seemed impossible! lol.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Andrew. But the credit should go to Jenn who not only did the art work but also most of the text. I merely added my thoughts in the last paragraph.

Oh no, your poor lamp! They definitely don’t make them like they used to. I am intrigued about how you fixed it with the vacuum hose
